SCOTUS Decision: Mo says he knows better.

CBS reports Democrats are enthusiastic about President Biden's choice of Ketanj Brown-Jackson for the U.S. Supreme Court, but  Republicans are withholding criticism:

"....Republicans indicated they expect to meet with Jackson in person during the confirmation process.

"The judgments of a justice can affect the lives of every American in perpetuity. It's critical that any such nominee, including Judge Jackson, receive the most thorough and rigorous vetting," Senator Chuck Grassley, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, said in a statement, adding he looks forward to sitting down with Jackson "face to face on Capitol Hill."

BUT...

That doesn't include Alabama GOP Rep. Mo Brooks from going on the attack in a news release:

"Congressman Mo Brooks (R-AL) hammered President Biden's nomination of Kentanji Brown Jackson to be America's next Supreme Court Justice, and called on Senate Republicans to block the nomination..."

“President Biden, in an attempt to distract the American people from all of his ongoing blunders and scandals, seeks to nominate a radical left wing activist to the Supreme Court. It is a bedrock principle of the American Republic that justices should not substitute their policy beliefs for the policy beliefs of America’s properly elected Congresses and presidents. Activist justices betray the Constitution and America. Kentanji Brown Jackson has an established record of dismissing established law and usurping the separation of powers defined in the Constitution. Republicans must use every tool available to fight and stop this nomination. I call on my Republican colleagues in the Senate to block this nomination by holding up any vote until a constitutional jurist is nominated.”
