Here's the quote from a High School Principal in the NY Time story about students hugging:
“Touching and physical contact is very dangerous territory.”
Dangerous? Wow. Read it.
Now parents have something else to worry about! Forget drugs and guns and gangs and stuff.
Leo Buscaglia is turning over in his grave.
[NOTE: OK, that is a Father-Daughter hug in the photo, but the principle in the same! Only in the most perverse mind is a hug a bad thing!]
Oooh!
ReplyDeleteI feel so much better after having read that linked NYT story!
NOT!
Some folks just want to keep the pot stirred up, while some have little or no common sense.
Perhaps they could write about the construction and style of toilet paper, toilet paper factory emissions and the debate over use of bidets in America.
Now THERE'S worthwhile reading!
And some wonder why "news" agencies garner such "unwarranted" ire!
Puh-leeze!
In this story you may notice a new journalistic phenomenon--gathering up single-sentence quotes from hither and yon.
ReplyDeleteNothing in depth, nothing of substance. The "journalist" earns pay by long-distance phoning, probably at random.
As Nero Wolfe would say: Pfui.
Sorry. I am not "Anonymous." I am Jay Croft.
