UPDATED: Where were you in 1930?

This photo from the Montgomery Boy Scouts is from that year...how many of the scouts in this photo are still living? They would be in their 90's or 100+ now!

The caption:

Feb. 10, 1930 – Montgomery Advertiser

Tuesday afternoon promises to be a most interesting and enjoyable one for the Scouts of the Montgomery Council for at this time, says Scout Executive Millard Westcott, the entire membership will attend the new Paramount Theatre to witness the showing of the picture, “Sunny Side Up.”The visit of the Boy Scouts to the Paramount Theater has been made possible through the interest and courtesy of Manager Hoxie C. Farley and Manager Bill Wolfson. The visit promises to be one of the highlights of the Anniversary Week celebration, commemorating the 20thanniversary of the organization of the Boy Scouts of America.

As for the film..."Sunny Side Up"....forgotten, for sure, but HERE is the imdb listing.

The theater itself is now The Davis, owned by Troy University.

I spotted the photo on this Montgomery web site: https://www.facebook.com/TimesGoneBy

UPDATE NOTE: In case you were wondering... "Until 1948, some councils of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) were racially segregated. The National Office began a program of integrating local councils in 1940, which was largely complete in 1948."

AND....movie theaters in Montgomery were segregated longer than that! Till the early 1960's!
