You won't find many (if any!) confederate flags on the grounds of the Alabama Capitol Building now. I took the above photo of the confederate monument in the days before Governor Robert Bentley had the four flags removed from the site of the monument after he learned nobody had authorized their installation.
Another exception is in the official state
Coat of Arms. You'll see it on the doors of the front elevator on the first floor of the building.
In 2021 there was a legislative effort to remove the flag from the design, but it did not pass.
