4 San Diego-based warships slated for decommissioning in Navy’s new budget

 Locally, the Navy proposes to decommission the guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Erie, the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown and two Independence-class littoral combat ships, the USS Jackson and USS Montgomery.
