Dexter Ave. RSA Building Controversy

Consider this a Public Service Announcement...the proposed RSA project to "save" the old Alabama Supreme Court Building on Dexter Avenue ill be the focus of a Community Forum next week. The RSA project will basically build a big modern boxy building over the existing structure, saving the old court chamber. Although everyone cheered the project when it was first announced, this picture caused a firestorm

That's the proposed building photoshopped in on the left side of this view looking up Dexter Avenue. When I drove past the site this afternoon work was continuing on the project. Historic Preservationists and others will attend the forum. Here are the details:
