I lectured at the University of Florida this week...thanks to a friendly Journalism Professor who was kind enough to invite me to discuss the media with her Investigative Journalism class. The kids were great and asked good questions involving ethics, the Net, writing and more. I was really impressed with the scope of the Journalism Department and the campus. These kids have a tough early career ahead because of the turmoil in the media...and the University has some tough decisons to make too! How much emphasis to put on The Net, for one, and how to maintain ethical standards when the lines seem to blurred these days!
