Reading

Spent a few hours Saturday at Old Alabama Town in Montgomery for an annual book festival sponsored by "The Alabama Center For The Book". Interviewed Ace Atkins about his new novel "Wicked City". Though it's fiction, it's set in and around Phoenix City during the murder of Attorney General Patterson. His son, former Governor John Patterson was also at the festival talking about his non-fiction account of those days. Ran into former 3rd District Congressman Glenn Browder who is writing two books for release next year, he describes one of them as a unique view of politics in the state. I invited him on the spot to come discuss it on FTR when it comes out. Interviews with Atkins, former Governor Patterson and others will be part of an Alabama Stories broadcast next month. It was as always nice to meet with viewers as well!
