Great Timing

Just after the retirement system for Alabama teachers decided to dump wellness programs because of budget cuts, Congress is getting ready to provide incentives to private companies to offer those same programs. Quit smoking? Sure. Lose weight? Great! As far as Alabama's teachers go, they'll have to do it on their own. But depending on how the legislation is written, private schools and other companies in Alabama may get incentives from Congress to start up their own wellness programs.
