A new book reaches the conclusion that American senior citizens are actually happier in their older years than before, a conclusion I must at least partly endorse. From an article about the book in Smithsonian Magazine:
Young people won't believe that. Not a word of it. But many older folks may nod in agreement.
The book's title is 30 Lessons For Living: tried and True Advice from The Wisest Americans.
It comes out in paperback in October, but you can buy the hardcover at your local bookstore, or, of course, online. Or for an electronic reader too.
"...people over 50 were happier overall, with anger declining steadily from the 20s through the 70s and stress falling off a cliff in the 50s."
