M(W*)MMM # 220 ---Another shoe


     The incredible shrinking printed Alabama newspaper world has gotten smaller. 
     The Anniston Star, one of my favorite papers in the state, is eliminating its Monday edition. Their decision comes after the three largest papers in Alabama announced they will go to a T-DAW schedule, as in three days a week.
    The Star's change will make it a S-DAW, as in six days a week. It will take effect in October, and Editor Bob Davis says there will be no layoffs, unlike the T-DAW announcement, which was a pink slip for 400 newspaper folks.
     When those moves occur, The Montgomery Advertiser will be the largest daily in Alabama. Unless...
