They've crunched their numbers and ranked the largest cities in Alabama based on how well they treat businesses.
Shorter in Macon County isn't big enough to be on the list, but I wonder if they would get dinged for the closing of Victoryland?
Strangely, Mountain Brook, among the most Republican places in the state, gets low marks. Are the business owner/residents of that pristine berg being anti-business in their own backyard
And race seems to be a factor too. At the very top is Fairhope...91% White. At the very bottom: Selma...80.3% Black. But a closer study would be needed to see if that holds up across the list (Mt. Brook notwithstanding).
