The War over "Literally"

     I am NOT giving up.
I will continue to expose the misuse of the word when I come across it, especially by folks like newscasters who should know better!

The reason for bringing this up is a Facebook note from my friend Callie Corley pointing out that Google's definition of the word now sides with those who misuse it.
     Honest.
     Google says literally means figuratively.

lit·er·al·ly

  2. Used to acknowledge that something is not literally true but is used for emphasis or to express strong feeling.
