Sunday Focus 2: Life ended x 2, 31 years difference.

I couldn't help but notice the bookend stories bouncing across the net this morning.
In one, a judge has ordered a pregnant Texas woman disconnected from life support after deciding she was in fact dead, and her fetus terribly injured, and "distinctly abnormal". The family asked the judge to order the action.
In the other, a family is remembering their 31 year old son, who died last week after 31 years in a semi-vegetative state.
The man's father had prayed for the strength to take care of his badly injured son, victim of a drunk driver as a little boy. And he did, until his death.
I am not taking a stand on these decisions by families, just pointing out the disparity.
These are difficult, heart breaking, life changing decisions that are best left to the families of the victims, not to mobs of people pushing their own agendas.
