The movie is out in theaters across the country, snubbed by The Academy (despite a best picture nomination) and the "foreign press" Golden Globes.
Many of the cast members will return to Selma tomorrow for a crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Monday is the holiday in his honor. It is observed by The Federal Government, most states, and many companies. Watch Alabama News Network for a Saturday evening advance story about that event and coverage Sunday night after the fact.
The cast was in higher cotton Friday night. They attended a showing of the movie at The White House.
The first week box office will be out Sunday evening...last weekend Selma came in second after Taken 3 (when will Liam Neilson learn how to protect his family and friends from being kidnapped and/or killed?). Taken 3 took in $40-Million compared to Selma's $11-Million.
