Angela

Angela Davis has been in the news in recent weeks because the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute was scheduled to present an award to her, but changed their minds after objections from Jewish organizations who pointed to her support for Palestinians.

Then the Institute changed their minds again and decided to give her the award anyway.

The entire episode garnered her probably more publicity than she has received in a long time, and that may be the reason her name was on a hit list by a U.S. Coast Guard Lieutenant...along with a dozen other democratic and liberal candidates and media personalities.

From CNN:

Christopher Paul Hasson, 49, of Silver Spring, Maryland, is alleged to be a white supremacist who had a hit list that included prominent Democratic politicians as well as several journalists from CNN and MSNBC. Hasson's case was first circulated by counterterrorism expert Seamus Hughes and the George Washington Program on Extremism.
Hasson's hit list includes Democratic politicians -- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, of New York, Sens. Chuck Schumer, of New York, Cory Booker, of New Jersey, Richard Blumenthal, of Connecticut and Kamala Harris, of California and former Rep. Beto O'Rourke, of Texas -- as well as CNN journalists Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo and Van Jones and MSNBC's Chris Hayes, Ari Melber and Joe Scarborough.
See? Angela's name didn't even make it on the CNN report.
Another question about the story, How could an avowed white supremacist operate in a U.S. Military branch without any red flags being raised?
"Federal agents found a cache of 15 assault rifles, shotguns and handguns and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition that the lieutenant had amassed over two years." (NY Times)
But how? Will the Commander -in-Chief tweet about a complete investigation?
Apparently not.
This (Saturday 2-23-19) Morning, he was asked about it by reporters and called it a "very sad" thing.
