The Hubbard Case, 3 Years After Conviction

It was three years ago today that a jury convicted the former Republican Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard.
He was sentenced to four years in prison and eight years probation for violating the same ethics laws that he bragged about passing.
He has not spent any time behind bars.

The Alabama Supreme Court agreed to hear his appeal three months ago tomorrow, and in fact heard that appeal last week.
How will they rule? It is a 100% Republican court, so we'll see.
The decision will be made by seven members of the court, since two recused themselves.
