The New York Times online will be free for homebound High School students for the next three months, reports the journalism site Nieman Labs.It is a great learning and research tool for the students.
Speaking of, here's a lesson for them right now. That thing on the left is a machine from which people could buy a physical New York Times newspaper. Yes, the Sunday "newspaper" cost $5.00, and was thicker than you biggest textbook.
Oh, a "textbook" was.........
There used to be gathering of those "newspaper machines" on city streets, as shown in the second photo of a group of them on Dexter Avenue in Montgomery.
