Hyundai---with their only U.S. car plant located in Alabama---is now offering a new service to bring solar power to customers, though Alabama has not been friendly to solar.
The company writes:
"A more electric home for your electric Hyundai.
Not only can you charge your electric Hyundai at home, you also have the power to take charge of your home's energy. Hyundai Home gives you an easy way to produce, store and use your own energy with solar panels, energy storage systems and an EV home charger."
Alabama residents who take advantage of the offer will run up against a Public Service Commission ruling forcing them to pay fees to Alabama Power to compensate the company for lost income.
