What Happens to Brand New Cars After Two Years Underwater

Here's video showing the continued removal of the final, formerly new cars that spent two years underwater when the ship Golden Ray capsized off the Georgia Coast.

From a News Release From the join agency group that has been supervising the operation to cut the ship into giant pieces and remove them to a salvage yard:

"Debris-removal personnel recovered 151 vehicles and 15 partial decks during operations to clear wreck debris...Response managers anticipate several more weeks of debris removal operations and additional equipment will enter the EPB to recover larger sunken pieces of the wreck. Engineering teams continue to conduct hydrographic surveys each week to assist the debris removal process. Survey analysis confirms no presence of debris along the seafloor outside of the barrier."
