Montgomery Public Schools Desegregate

 It happened on this date in 1964...next year will mark the 60th anniversary.


Alabama had dragged its feet for nine years after the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Brown vs The Board of Education, finally desegregating Montgomery's schools on this date in 1965.

Sounds familiar, no? With Alabama now refusing to follow a new Supreme Court ruling on voting districts.

What's the opposite of someone rolling in their grave? Dancing?
