Decommissioning The USS Montgomery may be near.

The San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper reports another of the U.S. Navy LCS ships is headed home to be decommissioned. Here's the newspaper headline:

"USS Jackson returns to San Diego facing possible early end of its service to the Navy"

See the full story online HERE.

That decommissioning comes just two weeks after two other LCS ships were also taken out of service: The USS Little Rock and the USS Detroit.

The USS Montgomery is another of the LCS ships headed for decommissioning, just a few years after it went into service.
