POLITICS---PEW ASKS THE QUESTIONS


 

"Americans have long been critical of politicians and skeptical of the federal government. But today, Americans’ views of politics and elected officials are unrelentingly negative, with little hope of improvement on the horizon."

65%: The share of Americans who say they always or often feel exhausted when thinking about politics.

55%: The percentage of Americans who say they always or often feel angry when thinking about politics.

86%: The proportion of U.S. adults who agree: "Republicans and Democrats are more focused on fighting each other than on solving problems."

57%: The majority of Americans who say that voting by people like them can affect the future direction of the country a lot or some.
