Either Betting is Illeal, or just fun. Which is it?

 

Tuscaloosa, Auburn mayors place charity wager on Iron Bowl's outcome.

I don't gamble.

I don't bet on sports or anything else.

Alabama law says it is illegal, though I don't take part because it doesn't appeal to me. But one way or the other, IT IS AGAINST THE LAW!

So enough of this (wink wink) "charity wagering". NO. It is against the law and the state throws people in jail for violating those laws. These mayors are making a mockery of the law when the bet on sports.

If I had my way all betting would be LEGAL, but it's NOT. So either charge the mayors with violating those laws or stop charging anyone.
