I was amazed to read this blunt statement in a story about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and  the venerable CBS program 60-Minutes:

"(Mike) Wallace died a few months ago and “60 Minutes” has been pretty much supplanted by the more ideologically-driven cable news and talk shows."
                                          Carl Golden

Forgive me for asking, Mr. Golden. WTF? 60 Minutes supplanted by who?

And that was for the week of July 2nd...a holiday week when 60 Minutes ran repeats.
And the highest rated cable news show that week? Here are the ratings for the shows for the entire DAY Sunday July 8th:

Mr. Golden might want to reconsider his statement that 60 Minutes has been supplanted by anyone.
